Both bound in lovely period brown leather and marbled boards, 4 raised bands, titles and top edges gilt, marbled end pages, ribbon markers, both Near Fine, slight rubbing to edges of leather, both with intriguing period bookplates, a bit of marginal toning throughout. The novella Carmen was the basis of Bizet's opera Carmen. Text in French. A handsome set. . Limited and Numbered Edition. Leather and Marbled Boards. Near Fine/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
