This assumed first edition (same date) is clean, tight, square with sharp corners and unmarked. It is minimally rubbed and the spine is slightly sunned. It has 190, bright, clear pages (including an appendix from the Merimee original) illustrated with black & white photos from the film bound in light blue cloth covered boards with black titles on the spine and front. There's a great photo from the film with no damage as a paste down on the front
