OCLC 847691405 This First Issue of a magazine designed for the English-speaking Occupying forces and attendant personnel and tourists was published December 15, 1949 under Managing Director Yo Tajiri Roberts working from from the Yashima Hotel, Room 605 24-320 / 24-0177. Printed by Hosokawa Printing Company, Ltd. Tokyo. Coverprice 25 cents or 120 yen. It was planned as a bi-monthly publication providing calendars of events (music, sports, festivals, etc.), Town Chatter (local gossip column), miscellaneous small news stories, In the Camera's Eye (some social event photographs), reviews of Books, Music, Records and illustrated advertisements for local and other businesses (retail and services). A well designed and nicely printed magazine with attractive layout, interesting content and professional artistic standards. Quite scarce. .

At The Antiquarian Book Shop, located in Georgetown - an historic neighborhood of Washington, D.C. we have been buying, selling & appraising rare, interesting and scholarly books in Georgetown for more than 30 years. Over those many years we have taken great pleasure from satisfying our customers' eclectic literary requirements in the shop and hope to continue in that tradition now that we have moved our operation on-line.Currently, our catalogued inventory includes about 4,000 books from the sixteenth century through the twentieth century in a variety of subject areas.
