Book 1-The Better Taylor's, by Richard Taylor published by Random House these drawings in this volume appeared originally in the New Yorker, Esq., the Saturday evening Post, and colliers. A tailored red cover over boards with 10 lettering on a red background on the front and on the spine soiling to the back and front covers lower third portion of the spine is missing. No tears, bent pages, nor any writing. Book 2- Sizzling Platter, by Peter Arno published by Simon & Schuster the following cartoons of this book appeared in the New Yorker copyrighted 1949. Dust jacket, flaps are not bent nor is it price clipped. large chips creasing and wear along the edges. Now in a clear protective cover. Book 3-Man in the Shower, by Peter Arno, this book contains 112 cartoons of which a number have never before appeared in print this is the first Peter Arno. Published by Simon & Schuster in 1944 this is the second printing. Majority of these drawings first appeared in the New Yorker. A crack in the gutter between the title page and the frontispiece. Dust Jacket, no bent flaps nor is it price clipped. Dust jacket has chips out of the toe and the head of the spine along the edges creases large chunk out of the lower front. Soiling to the exterior the jackets. Now in a clear protective cover. Book 4-Best Cartoons from Punch, collected for Americans from England's famous humorous weekly, edited by Marvin Rosenberg and William Cole. Published by Simon & Schuster 1952 first printing. Orange and black cover over boards with silver lettering on the spine. Lettering on the spine is saying blind stamped punch insignia on the front cover. Son stated on the back board soiling to both sides. No Dust Jacket. Shelf wear to the edges and to the head and told the spine. All illustrations and text in all four volumes are bright and clean, bindings are secure, a solid collectible set of historic cartoons from the past. Size: 8 1/4 x 11 1/4
