Black-and-white illustration at the beginning of the story, showing a policeman and another man going towards a drowned aeroplane. Illustrated front cover, showing a policeman restraining another man, with yellow and blue coloured titles to the front panel and blue on the spine. The illustration on the front cover is in colour. The story has been written in panel form -- as for a newspaper. A " Thrilling Detective Novel", part of the Sexton Blake series -- number 295. "A pilotless plane crashed into a swamp. It was the private property of Lord Hullingsford; the fact that he was missing developed into a first-class mystery.". The book is rubbed, very grubby and a faded.
