About This Item

New York: Coward-McCann, Inc, 1943. First edition. 8vo, 279pp. Publisher's crimson cloth lettered in blue/gray, top edge stained red in illustrated jacket. Near fine book with a small instance of damp staining to bottom edge of front endpapers in jacket that shows light use at spine ends, small damp stain to upper edge at head of spine and some rubbing at corners and fore edge of front panel. Old tape repair to underside at lower corner.

Beautiful copy of this second MacDougal Duff mystery from Armstrong, following, Lay On, Mac Duff!  The book, following secretary Alice, her millionaire employer and love interest, Innes Whitlock, and his three step-sisters who are out for blood, was made into a British film in 1948 titled, The Three Weird Sisters.

This title is quite scarce in jacket.
