New York: Holiday House, 2006. First Edition, Second Printing. Decorative Boards. Fine/Fine. A beautiful First Edition, Second printing inscribed and dated on the title page by Ela Weissberger. In fine unread condition with only minor bumping at upper corners. Clean and crisp pages throughout with bright illustrations. Dust jacket is protected by an archival cover. Dust jacket in fine condition, save minor creasing at upper corners. Written by Susan Goldman Rubin with Ela Weissberger, this memoir is an view into Ela's experiences at the Terezin concentration camp and an account of making the unbearable bearable. While at the concentration camp, Ela was chosen to play the role of the cat in a children's opera being performed called "Brundibar". In her warm inscription, Ela writes "Remeber me and my friends with love, Ela-cat from Terezin, 4/17/07". A very beautiful copy. Parrish Books also carries a Ela Weissberger inscribed copy of "Brundibar" by author Maurice Sendak.
