In two volumes complete. Volume one is A-K, volume two L-Z together with the first supplement to rear to volume two. With a preface by G. K. Fortescue from the British Museum, dated 1912 to front of volume one. The dates covered in the catalogue (1487 - 1800) are those generally accepted as marking the division between the earlier and the modern schools of music. Condition: In cloth bindings. Externally, generally smart but with slight wear to extremities and with slight rubbing and marks to boards. Front hinges strained. Internally, generally firmly bound although strained in places, with first page to volume two starting. Bright and generally clean throughout but with slight scattered foxing to first and last few pages. Overall: VERY GOOD.
