by Durrell, Gerald Malcolm

Condition: Very Good/Very Good

London: Collins, 1972. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Edward Mortelmans. Type: Hard Back First Printing. Hardcover Book in Near Fine Condition with a Very Good Dust Jacket. Delightful monochrome drawings throughout by Edward Mortelmans of the animals found and cared for by Gerald Durrell. Interior is Fine--very clean and completely free from any markings, no creases. Glossy jacket is clean and unmarked with chimps on front, slight edgewear, price-clipped. Anyone who likes animals even a little will love this book, as Gerald Durrell must have loved doing the things he did before writing it. A life filled with looking for animals in danger of extinction--a trip to Siera Leone to catch himself a colobus, to Mexico for the Volcano rabbit. A life of hilarious mishaps and unexpected triumphs. The author writes with zest about the wonderland which he knows and loves so well. 221 pages. 5.75 x 8.5 inches.
