The centre sheet is loose from the staple binding, two creases to the front cover, light wear to extremities, scattered light spotting to interior pages. There is a color cat portrait on the front cover signed by Wain and the book contains black and white short narratives illustrated by Wain, with the illustration on the next to last page bearing his signature. The book also features two color plates depicting cats, neither signed, one of which is seemingly not in Wain's style. What does appear certain is that the cover art and the black and white narrative pages are truly Wain's work. The short narratives are titled: Greedy; The Cat Who Was a Wizard; A Cat-Astrophe. This uncommon book appears as number 33 in the listing of Louis Wain's work in Rodney Dale's "Louis Wain The Man who Drew Cats." .
