London.. 1886- 1895.. Chromolithograph, image size approx 18 x 13 inches, sheet size 20 1/2 x 15 inches, with accompanying text sheet. Soft bump to upper right corner (outside image area); very good condition. This is plate 81 from Sander's "Reichenbachia, Orchids Illustrated and Described." This publication featured beautiful life-size depictions of the orchids being introduced to England at the turn of the century, published by a horticultural firm which had orchid collectors working around the globe. Although it states "Gustav Leutzsch, Chromolith" at lower left corner, the plate is signed "H.G. Moon". .
