William Heinemann Ltd, London, 1932. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Illustrator: Photographic. List of illustrations and speaking parts. Black and white photographic frontispiece, and black-and-white illustrations and photographs decorate the text. Yellow coloured cloth covered boards with black, orange and blue coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. Noel Coward's chronicle of the Marryots and Bridges families (1899-1933). One family is well to do and the other family less so. And how both families react early 20th-century history  Queen Victoria's death, the Titanic disaster and World War I e.g. Softening, rubbing and some fraying of the backstrip edges, particularly the top edge. Bumping, rubbing and a little fraying of the book corners with rubbing and bumping to the lower book edge. The spine is oh so slightly cocked. Rubs, marks and stains to the book panels, particularly the rear. Darkening of the neck strip. Age toning of the text block edges along with some faint foxing. Offsets tanning and foxing to the end pages; age toning and faint foxing throughout the text. Original bookseller's sticker to the lower right-hand corner of the front paste-down.
