Illustrated with Sturges pen-and-ink portrait sketches tipped in. Van Gelder watermarked paper. Half black calf binding over woodgrain paper covered boards. Gilt titles and rules stamped on the spine. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. Black ribbon bookmark. Designed by the author and printed at the Plimpton Press in Norwood, Massachusetts. Edition limited to 300, this copy numbered 150. Signed by Orcutt. Spine ends worn, corners bumped. Lacking slipcase. Portraits of authors and other luminaries of the world scene, and the book world, some of which had appeared in the Christian Science Monitor. Orcutt's friendship with the King of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele III, predated the latter's descent to ignominy as he allowed Mussolini to run roughshod over all rational resistance.
