About This Item
New York: Dell, 1949. First edition thus. Hardcover. Very Good. First paperback edition. 236 pp. plus publisher's ads at rear. Great color cover illustration of a revealingly clad, buxon blonde combing her hair while admiring herself in a hand mirror. Very good or a bit better, some embrowning to the pages as usual. Set in turn of the 20th century Los Angeles, the story of Celeste Wills, "...an enchantingly lovely golden-haiored young heiress whose innocence contrasts strangely with her mother's wanton background..." We suspect that the story is less titillating than the cover.
