Washington DC. Washington DC: U. S. Bureau of the Census. Very Good with no dust jacket. 1905. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Tan buckram covers have a few small spots of soil but overall are very clean. Minor bumping to cover corners, silver lettering nearly completely rubbed off of Volume One with a little water staining to the right margin of the first several pages. All three volumes are ex-library books, from two different libraries, but the only library marks and stamps are on the title page. Volumes one and two have a partially cracked hinge. All three volumes are tight, pages are clean and unmarked. Overall condition of the three volumes is VG-, VG+, and VG. Note: this is the first edition of these volumes. They are not reprints. They are not softcovers. Printed on high-quality rag paper. . Vol. I. Geography, history and population; Vol. II. Population; Vol. III. Mortality, Defective Classes, Education and Families. This is a complete, detailed study of the state of the Philippine Islands in 1903. They include a profusion of charts, old maps and tables (many of which are fold-out) , period photographic plates, drawings and text. Invaluable for historical, ethnographic and other research purposes. . Ex-Library. Small 4to 9" - 11" tall. 2407 pages. G7 .
