Danville, IN. Danville, IN: Central Normal College. Very Good with no dust jacket. 1915. 1st Edition. Softcover. Card wrappers overlap the text block and extremities show wear, creasing and bumping; short tears at extremities of spine. Pages are bright and clean; binding is tight, pages are clean and unmarked. . This is the 1915 yearbook for Central Normal College, located in Danville, Indiana, evidently only the third such. It is 136 pages long plus ads, with all the usual things found in a yearbook. It is a softcover, and its approximate size is 7 inches tall by 10 inches wide. While the condition of the wrappers is only Good, with wear, short tears and creasing to the extremities, the text block itself is in very good condition, except for a corner bump. There are no missing pages and the pages are clean and perfectly readable; the many b/w photos are excellent as well. Central Normal existed from 1878 to 1951 (the last five years under the name Canterbury College). It was one of the nation's early "normal" schools, which specialized in training teachers. The book includes several pages of ads for Danville businesses. Scarce. . Oblong 8vo 8" to 9" tall. 136 pages. I6 .
