Features the first three chapters of Mark Twain's "An Adventure of Huckleberry Finn" before it was published; "The Battle of Shiloh" by U. S. Grant; "Phases of Legislation, State" by Theodore Roosevelt; "The Bostonians" by Henry James; "Winter Neighbors" by John Burroughs. 960 pp. Cloth/leather covers show signs of wear with front joint broken at top, rubbing to edges and corners bumped, with boards slightly exposed. Gold gilt lettering on spine. Marbled page edges. Front hinge slightly broken. Page edges are browning, but does not interfere with text. Overall the book is in Good + condition. . Leather. Good +. Illus. by Plates. Size: Approx. 6 3/4" x 9 3/4". Bound Magazine.
