The growth of London from a struggling backwoods village to the metropolis of the smiling countryside of Western Ontario and the parallel expansion of 'The London Free Press' from a tiny weekly, struggling for survival, to one of Canada's leading daily newspapers form the twin themes from which Orlo Miller has skilfully spun a single story."
