Marshall was a surgeon attached to the 1st and 2nd Ceylon Regiments and was involved in the British capture of the kingdom of Kandy in 1815. The book consists of a general picture of the island followed by the colonial interventions that eventually led to Kandy's downfall. Very Good Paperback in A Good Dust Jacket 201 pages with a couple of maps and a line drawing. Weight: 0.5 kg Post free within Malaysia The dust jacket has a few dirty spots and is discoloured with age at the back. The binding is tight, the text clear and there is mild tanning of the pages.
