'The Chalet School' series contained approximately sixty school story novels by Elinor Brent-Dyer. They were initially published between 1925 and 1970. This particular novel follows the Chalet School over a christmas term where they are lacking a headteacher. Two new girls join the school and cause several problems. The first edition, held in original, price-clipped dustwrapper. Elinor M Brent-Dyer was a popular children's author who wrote more than 100 books in her lifetime. Condition: In original cloth binding and held in original price-clipped dustwrapper. Externally, generally smart with bumping to the extremities and to the head and tail of spine. Dustwrapper is spotted to the rear wrap. Prior owner has covered wrap in plastic adhesive for preservative purposes. Edges of adhesive is visible internally. Rubbing to the head and tail of spine. Offsetting to endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright. Heavy spotting to the foredge and to the top edge. Occasional spots to pages. Overall Condition: Very Good Indeed in a Very Good Indeed dustwrapper.
