London, W. & R. Chambers, 1899 1st. Large hardback, Tall 8vo. approx 10 x 7 inches. In leather fine binding by “Henry Young & Co.” Quarter bound polished maroon calf leather to spine and corners, red cloth to boards. Gilt line edging to boards, with raised banding, gilt decoration and twin brown leather spine labels lettered in gilt. In very good condition. Some handling marks to cover, some rubbing to corners, some rubbing and bumps to spine, some light rubbing to cloth on boards. Binders stamp to corner of endpaper. No penned inscriptions. Some minor mild foxing to title and front index page. Some areas of minor light foxing to one or two inside pages, else pages overall very clean and tight throughout. Else a very good clean and tight copy. 832pp + 48pp Extra Christmas Number. Decorative letterpieces and headings. Many other interesting stories, travel reports, etc.
