About This Item
Columbia: University of South Carolina Press, (1973). First edition. Edited by Matthew J. Bruccoli. Foreword by Jacques Barzun. Number 211 of a limited first printing of 499 copies of which the first 400 were for sale. Gilt-stamped red-leatherette backed off-white "marbled" paper boards; top edge red; ribbon place marker. In publisher's red leather slipcase. "Damaged" faintly penciled on first page (colophon) presumably because the gilt spine lettering is incomplete -- otherwise would be fine in fine slipcase.
