Early state of the uncorrected proof in dark yellow printed paperwraps with pages hand numbered in the copy; 444 pp. Together with a copy of the first edition in dust jacket. 8vo gilt-stamped blue cloth boards; top edge blue; 432 pages. Proof shows light soiling to covers and slight vertical indentation in spine, otherwise near fine and scarce in this state. Book is fine in fine in dust jacket.
