The bindings have the appearance of vellum, but the bindings are not real vellum. The bindings show rubbing and some soiling from handling. All edges of text block are gilt. A sound set with secure inner hinges. Text is clean. The title of "The History of the Seven Wise Masters of Rome" contains several facsimile woodcuts based on the original 16th century edition. Some of the images are duplicated.
