The first thus of this interesting limited edition translation of a Franciscan Friar's appeal to the women of France about their dress, translated into English by William Rooke. The first edition thus, being the first edition of this translation. A limited edition work, with two-hundred and seventy-five small paper copies, and seventy-five large paper copies printed. This copy is one of the small paper editions. With the original glassine wrap. This work is addressed to the women and maidens of France, and discussed their costumes and dress in relation to morality and religion. The work was originally printed in Paris in 1585.
