Ten brown paper folders with individual title plates, all contained in a grey and brown hardback folder with illustrated title plate, and two ribbon closures at fore-edge. All plates present, with ten prints each in folders one and two; seven prints each in folders three through eight; six prints in folder nine; and seven prints in ten. Prints include facsimiles of original title pages or manuscripts, images of characters or settings, and images that illustrate his life in varying eras, including portraits of the author at different stages of his life. Exterior boards soiled with large dampstain across front panel, scuffing and fraying to edges, large chip from spine head. Ribbons at fore-edge intact, a little delicate, with some light fraying. Quarter brown cloth over grey paper boards with a paper label printed in red and black on the front board, decorations in red and black on the front board. With grey ties, two on each board. Each part with a dark grey title page with a paper label printed in black, red, and white. Illustrated with a total of 75 plates, color and black and white. Edited by Seymour Eaton. Published for private circulation. A nice collection of prints related to Charles Dickens' life, his family, his novels, and his fame. The spine is peeling away from the boards, some of the section titles are chipped at their edges.

Front cover has printed paper label and silhouette of scrooge stamped in black. Plates are divided between 10 envelopes, which have long since disintegrated, leaving only the cover of each section with printed part label. Plates in very good to fine condition. Includes approximately 100 prints of the famous British author and his works. All illustrations are immaculate with only slight edge browning or chips. Cotton ties on the folding cover are present and in very good shape. Boards are slightly worn on the edges but have otherwise aged extremely well.
