Stated First Edition. 15.8 x 24 cm blue cloth backed paper boards with blue stamped vignette to the front, pink stamped titles to the spine and borzoi device blind stamped to the rear. Grey endpapers, pp (xii) 161(3) with original unclipped dust jacket priced at $3.95. A very good book without name, inscription or book plate, noting only a hint of toning to the spine and a patch of loss to the surface paper on the fore edge of the front board, measuring 6.5 x 1.7 cm at its widest. The binding is firm and square. The dust jacket is now protected in a removable clear jacket (not shown in our images) and present well although there is a hint of toning to the spine and a little dust marking with a 1.2 cm line on the back panel. There are also two closed tears of 0.5 and 1cm on the top edge of the front panel with associated creasing. All in all a very nice 1st edition, 1st printing of this follow up to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in its original unclipped jacket.
