Blue cloth with a colour illustrated frontis and photographic black and white plates throughout. Moderate tanning to pages with heavier foxing and tanning to pastedowns and endpapers. Pen and pencil inscriptions to front endpaper and pastedown with major tanning to text block edges. Both hinges are cracked with exposed netting and cracks to guttering with exposed netting. Boards have visible rubbing and edge wear. Heavier bumping to corners and fair crushing to spine ends. Minor rubbing to spine.

A detailed work on the land of the Isle of Skye, with reference to Loch Coruisk, ancient forts, legends, harvest, weather, and the surrounding ocean. Written by Seton Gordon, a Scottish naturalist, folklorist, and photographer. Illustrated by Finlay Mackinnon. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine and the odd small mark to the board. Internally, generally firmly bound with the odd plate loosening. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot and age toning to the endpapers. Pencil inscription to the front endpaper. Bookseller's label to the rear pastedown. Very Good
