Ogawa Kazumasa, 1904. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. Tokyo, 1904. Oblong folio, unpaginated with a folding color map and 174 color plates. A nice production with photographic views of Japan. This copy needs to be rebacked, with the front hinge split and in need of a full repair (we did not try to fix it with tape of any kind). It also appears that this was used as a display copy at one point, as there are a few cut paper labels affixed as title pages and a few pencil notations on information pages accompanying photographs. Contents otherwise excellent. From the library of the American Captain Fred F. Rogers, USN, American Naval Attache. A fixable copy of a scarce book, with the illustrations well preserved, usable now as a reference.
