Chattering of the Subconscious Toybox: A Radical Anthology of Emerging New Poets is the debut publication from Ann Arbor's visionary independent publishing house, Melting Watch Press. Founded by Mike Benoit & Joe Provenzano, Melting Watch Press was formed in-part as a response to the stultifying conventionality of modern verse. Melting Watch Press is of consanguineous relation to the American Visionary Tradition that began with Emerson, Whitman, & Thoreau and continued with the mid-century innovations of "Beat" and "New York" renown. MWP authors "make no distinction between what they tell their friends and what they tell their muse," as Ginsberg put it so succinctly, and this return to honesty in literature, this "bringing the muse into the kitchen," to paraphrase Whitman, will prove as potent and powerful in our modern era through the work of Provenzano, Benoit, and Camaj as it did for the courageous before them.

Of this First Edition, First Printing of 125 copies, each copy comes with a numbered MWP bookmark. If you would like your book signed by one or more of the participating authors, send us a message and the authors will be happy to sign free of charge.
