About This Item
Oxford, UK Oxford at the The Clarendon Press, 1945. Hardcover First Edition (1945); Second Printing, with corrrections (1946). Very Good+ to Near Fine in Very Good DJ: Both book and DJ show indications of very careful use. The Book shows just a touch of shelving wear to the lower extremities; mild mottling to the upper front panel (no other indication of exposure to moisture and no odors at all); the pages have perhaps darkened very slightly, due to aging; the binding is square and secure; the text is clean. Free of underlining, hi-lighting, notations, or marginalia. Free of creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of any ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, plates, or labels. A handsome copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing only a couple of unobtrusive cosmetic flaws. Bright and Clean. Very close to 'As New'. The DJ shows only a touch of wear to the extremities, with small loss to rubbing at the head of the backstrip and corner tips: mild rubbing; a tiny tear at the top of the front panel and a couple of faint smudges to the lower front panel; some overall darkening; the price is unclipped; mylar-protected. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. (9.75 x 6.75 x 1.35 inches). xii, 422 pages. Original blue cloth over boards with gilt titles at the backstrip. Language: English. Weight: 2 pounds, 10 ounces. First Edition (1945); Second Printing, with corrrections (1946). Hardback with DJ.
