About This Item
London: Oxford University Press, 1957. Book. Illus. by Peggy Fortnum. Good. Hardcover. First Edition. Hardback: b/w illustrations by PEGGY FORTNUM, the book looks to have been in a fire - dustjacket is darkened and missing bits from the top edge (it has been backed with plain paper and covered in plastic), re-bound with the original spine laid down, new endpapers, top page edges rippled, some of the top corners of the last pages were missing but have been skilfully repaired - still a good copy with no smoky smell. 8vo, 277pp..
