New York: Frederick A. Stokes & Brother, 1888. Hardcover. Very Good. 12mo. Unpaginated [49 pp]. Pictorial paper boards, rebacked with brown cloth spine. Boards heavily soiled and rubbed. Original tan floral pastedowns, both free endpapers have been replaced with contemporary, tan floral leaves, unmatching but similar. Light soiling scattered to mostly clean text block. Illustrated throughout in black and white. A humorous bestiary of sorts, featuring entries such as "A Swallow" (man drinking rum), "The Chetah" (cheater), and a previous owner's pencil sketch next to the image of "A Little Bare" (scantily clad woman).
