London: Cape, 1964. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. (London: Jonathan Cape 1964-1965). All First UK Editions in First Issue D/W's. Volume 1 is a fine copy in a near fine D/W (priced 10s 6d net to the inside flap) and is SIGNED BY JOHN BURNINGHAM ON THE PAGE ADJACENT TO THE TITLE PAGE. Volume 2 has a neat gift inscription on the page adjacent to the title page but is otherwise a near fine copy in a VG D/W (priced 10s 6d net to the inside flap). The D/W has a strip of tape residue at the bottom right hand corner of the front panel caused by a tape repair on the verso of the D/W that now shows through to the front. Volume 2 is SIGNED BY JOHN BURNINGHAM ON THE TITLE PAGE. Volume 3 is a VG+ copy in like D/W with a 5 mm closed tear to the bottom edge of the rear panel and is SIGNED BY JOHN BURNINGHAM ON THE HALF-TITLE PAGE. Further information can be provided as to how/where these volumes came to be signed. Photographs/scans available upon request. For the set of three books:
