A study of the military activities of the Cheshire people linked to the major events of the period 1345 to 1399. During this time the Earl of Chester, known as the 'Black Prince' embarked on his military career and the reign of his son, King Richard II ended in 1399. Over three hundred Cheshire people are mentioned in the text and over a thousand more in the ten appendices.
