Early edition of The Choice Humorous Works of Mark Twain in the original publisher's cloth binding. A new edition, revised and corrected by the author.Mark Twain was the pseudonym for Samuel Langhorne Clemens, an American writer, humourist, publisher, and lecturer of the nineteenth century. He is best known for the novels 'The Adventures of Tom Sawyer' and its sequel 'Adventures of Huckleberry Finn'.With life and a portrait of the author as the frontispiece, and numerous illustrations throughout the text. With thirty two pages of advertisements to the rear. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The spine is faded and there are some light marks to the boards. The hinges are starting but firm. Internally, generally firmly bound. The pages are generally bright and clean with some light spots throughout. Good
