Maurice Thomas Price (1888-1964), was a man of wide interests, with tremendous enthusiasm both for scholarship in the fields of sociology and anthropology and for service to many peoples. After graduation from the University of Chicago in 1910, he attended the Oberlin Theological School and the Rochester Theological Seminary and returned to Chicago to receive his Master's degree in sociology. Then came three years of work in China followed by a third educational period and attainment of his Ph.D. degree from Chicago in 1924. His other best known publications include "Christian Missions and Oriental Civilizations", "Communist Policy and the Chinese Nationalist Revolution", and "Applying Gaming to the Cold War".
