First thus. Very scarce work. A historical commentary on the relationship between Christianity and the French Revolution with chapters on the end of the Old Regime and the opening of the Revolution, civil constitution and the clergy, attempts to destroy Christianity, and the separation of church and state. Written by François Victor Alphonse Aulard, the first professional French historian of the French Revolution and of Napoleon. Translated by Lady Frazer, a British historical author and translator. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with minor bumping to the extremities and the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot. Light scattered spotting and age toning to the endpapers. Very Good
