New York : George A. Nelson, 1925. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. From the recently auctioned collection of Caroline Riesor Rau and David Wallerstein--a very good plus copy in red paper covered boards with a white paper label to the front board with black title. This copy is signed and inscribed for Caroline Riesor Rau by Allen. Only 250 copies were made for George A. Nelson. A short unpaginated title with 8 pp. printed on rectos in black lettering trimmed in red. Designed by Bruce Rogers.. A presentation copy to Caroline Riesor Rau--a Chicago socialite and prolific book collector and wife of David Wallerstein-David Wallerstein would become President of the Balaban & Katz Midwest movie theaters as well as friends with Ray Kroc and Walt Disney and later served on the Board of Directors of Disney, ABC and McDonalds. It was Wallerstein who introduced the world to "Supersize" drinks and fries. A great collectible copy with solid provenance.
