He describes the development of the "atmospheric" cinema, expounds on the difficulties of defining the Art Deco style, and concludes with a glimpse of the Australian architects whos practices specialized in cinema design. The selection of Australian theatres includes all the major movie theatres in the capital cities, such as the Walter Burley Griffin designed Capitol Theatre in Melbourne.
