Nova Publications Ltd, London, 1954. First Edition. Softcover. Good/No Dust Jacket. X, 11-154 pages, six further pages, last three pages bank, with further books from publishing house. Colour illustrated cover with black titles to the front panel and backstrip. Creasing to the book corners and to the backstrip. Rubbing and chipping to either side of the spine and rubbing and browning to the book panels. Browning and foxing to the text block edges and browning to the internal text. On the first page of the book there is a faint purple coloured stamp along with some browning and foxing. In a world of the future, after atomic warfare, civilisation is backward and only a small part of eastern America (known as Western Somerset) and the Home Isles (formerly Britain) is patrolled, in the name of the Queen, by the colonial army of women. Men are almost non-existent. Until a veritable giant of a man strides from the Western Hills of Western Somerset telling of a fabulous city. Size: Standard Paperback.
