First edition/First impression. Size is octavo (8vo), 8.5"/22cm h. Bound in publisher's tan cloth, green lettering/purple ornamentation to spine. Plain white endpapers. [1-8] prelim material, 9-210, [211-216] blank. Charming b&w illustrations by Honore Valintcourt. Condition notes: a worn but sound and collectible first printing: lack dust jacket; spine slightly cocked; tan cloth boards show rubbing, staining and the occasional stray crayon mark of the loved book; spine ends rolled and head rear corner bumped; edges tanned with several stains and light crayon marks. Interior shows former owner's name and date neatly in pen to head ffep; "Vroman's/Pasadena" bookstore label affixed to front pastedown, price torn away. Endpapers tanned with foxing; interior generally tanned, no foxing noted, nor markings. We personally inspect every book we offer.

Furrowed Brow Books was established in 2020. The bookstore's owner, Paul Purman, grew up in an old farmhouse full of books. Paul had been providing online booksales since 2008 through several popular online sales venues. In 2021 Paul was accepted as a member of the Independent Online Booksellers' Association (IOBA), and graduated from the annual Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS-Minnesota).
Furrowed Brow Books' goal is to offer an eclectic selection, while providing specialty offerings in Eastern Orthodoxy and Byzantine civilization, theology, Christian mysticism, science fiction/fantasy (Inklings emphasis), and military history.
