About This Item
Massachusetts: Peter Smith, 1949. Limited Edition . Hardcover. Fine/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Fine limited edition reprint (1949) of 1905 edition with black lettering on spine and protective mylar cover. No DJ. The book is flawless: spine is straight and tight, lettering crisp and bold, all corners sharp, no creases, markings, or tears. The book is unique in that it reproduces four original pages in small script to a reprint page. The purpose of the book, as stated i n the publisher's note, was simply to make a scare volume available to researchers in limited runs of 250 copies or less. This volume has no pagination of its own but proceeds by the original pagination as marked on the microformated pages. So the last page is 815 even though there are 250 or so physical pages. All illustrations, footnotes, appendicers, and tables are reproduced. Index is normal font.
