Folio. 311 pp. Black and white photos throughout, with a few in color. Flexi disc record laid in at the rear. SIGNED by the author, with a brief inscription. A comprehensive account of the Japanese classical theater of No, including its history, literary content, music, dance and a critique of its aesthetic ideals. FAIR jacket on a GOOD book. Slipcase in good condition. Large jagged tear to the lower front jacket, with associated chipping and creasing. Large chip and tear, with creasing to the head of the spine. Jacket scuffed, with some soiling. Extremities scuffed and worn. Minor fading, soiling and edgewear to the book. Light foxing along the page edges. A few stray underlines and notes in the text. Previous owner's extra photos laid in. Slipcase toned, soiled and bearing a few stains. Extremities scuffed.
