An English reprint of the 1910 first edition introducing the consulting detective and reformed criminal mastermind, Hamilton Cleek, known as the "Man of the Forty Faces" for his skills at disguise. His early vocation as an actor comes through in the dramatic energy of the action in these exciting stories, some of which were made into silent movies. A really fun read! Hubin 186. . Hard Cover.
