1804. Clement Biddle (1740-1814) Revolutionary War officer and merchant. Participated at battles of Trenton, Princeton, Brandywine and Portsmouth. Aide-de-Camp to General Green; Commissary General of forage, 1777. Close friend of Washington, with whom he spent the Winter at Valley Forge. Letter dated 1804 Re: dividend of North American Bank with postmarked address leaf.
