Kubrick heavily guided the design of this book, noting he has "always wondered if there might be a more meaningful way to present a book about a film. To make, as it were, a complete graphic representation of the film [...] so that within the limits of still-photographs and words, an accurate [...] record of a film might be available to anyone" (jacket front flap). Indeed, this is a deeply visual take on the screenplay format, appropriate for a film that places so much importance on the impact of its imagery. 8.25'' x 5.25''. Original tan cloth boards.
