About This Item
Burbank, CA: Warner Brothers Records, 1972. Near Fine. The very uncommon 1972 reel-to-reel tape of Kubrick's remarkable soundtrack, technically titled "Music from the Soundtrack--Stanley Kubrick's 'A Clockwork Orange'". The tape and reel are clean and tight, with a 7" diameter. And the original box which houses them-- with its iconic image of a dagger-wielding Alex on the front cover--has held up very well, with just a bit of wear at the corners. A wonderful Kubrick collectible.
Synopsis
A Clockwork Orange is a dystopian novel by Anthony Burgess. The title is taken from an old Cockney expression, "as queer as a clockwork orange"¹, and alludes to the prevention of the main character's exercise of his free will through the use of a classical conditioning technique.
