VG-/G+ (book shows very light foxing on top third of textblock, all pages clear and intact - dust jacket shows wear at edges with few small tears at base of spine, still protective). Cream cloth with red lettering on spine and red lettering and illustration on cover, black and off-white illustrated dust jacket with blue spine lettering, 303 pp., bw and color illustrations. "Pennsylvania German women presided over the production and maintenance of textiles for their homes. Clothing, bed and table linens, towels were produced from fibers they grew and spun into threads. A commercial weaver united these into cloth. The final step of making many textile objects was cross-stitch embroidery - anything from initials or a number to elaborate needlework designs graced the surface of the fabric ...
