Philadelphia: Porter & Coates, 1880. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. This assumed first edition is basically clean, tight, square and unmarked. It is rubbed and has some scuffs at the edges. The titles page is lose and hanging on. The end papers are foxed. It has 287, minimally toned pages extensively illustrated with black & white drawings in a three-quarter bindinding with red leather on the corners and spine. There are gold titles and bands on the spine.
